Everything about this Hotel oozes class and luxury. We had the Penthouse Suite which was superb but all of the rooms looked lovely, with gorgeous views across the estury

Service was marginally slower than we would have liked in the restaurant but I feel really pernickety even mentioning it

The Management were amazing they couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible, even personally carrying our luggage up 4 flights of stairs and checking on our special room serviec order. The penthouse is truly special, one of the best suites we have stayed in and we have stayed in many from Bora Bora to London to the Bahamas. Thebreakfasts were excellnet with plenty of choiuce on both the continental buffet and the cooked menu and the location right on the water was the best. Our only slight critisism based on our own personal tastes is that we foud the dinner rather bland, although prepared with good ingredients and technique everthing could have done with more seasoning and flavor. We will definitely stay again and reccomend this to our friends

Having to drive through the narrow streets to drop of our luggage on a busy sunday and the noisy seagulls at the crack of dawn.

All of the staff were extremely warm, attentive and helpful, which made our wedding reception absolutely fantastic. The food was superb. We stayed in the Penthouse suite, which was stylish and romantic with a breathtaking view of Fowey estuary. We and our guests felt well looked after and many are now planning to book their own romantic getaways in the near future. We will definitely be coming back, and will be recommending the hotel to our friends. A big thank you for making our wedding reception so special.

The old quay house was wonderful. We stayed for a weekend away, and found the staff were lovely, and especially thoughtful. They gave us advice on tickets for local attractions, and directions etc, as well as thoughtful touches, like the umbrella and rain macs in each room to use during your stay! The rooms were beautiful, very well decorated, and so comfortable. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.

A superb location and a very stylish small hotel. Staff are lovely and very focused on doing their jobs well. The initial drive through Fowey is not for the faint hearted especially when the streets are full of tourists! We will definitely go back.

Excellent hotel, a very modern but sympathetic conversion of an old building. Beautiful room, the dual aspect windows at each corner overlooking the river were an extremely clever design touch. Very well appointed, comfortable bed. Superb staff, furst-class food and drink. Nothing was too much trouble. As an older couple, we appreciated the no young children rule (and we love our grandchildren!)

The piped music was at times too loud, especially at mealtimes and never seemed to be switched off. It could be heard in our bedroom above the dining room. The wine list seems to major on Chilean and Argentinian and more French wines would be appreciated.

Contemporary chic, very elegant, very attentive staff, uniquely located in the ancient harbour, great views, everything you might dream of (including rain jackets and umbrellas ;-) excellent breakfast, fine dining (Cornish cuisine at its best)

Parking situation ( 700 yards away)

    Superb

Customer service, attention to detail, atmosphere - all excellent

Having to walk to the hotel with bags was a pain but then, the staff went the extra mile in alleviate the problem.

    Fabulous

Good location, for exploring Fowey and environs

The walk to the car park, management really need to lay on 'buggy' style transport; half mile is just too far to expect guests to walk; there are closer car parks

    Superb

The location is very beautiful, and the harbour terrace a unique asset. The dinner is good, the breakfast outstanding. Notably helpful and pleasant staff.

This is not a problem within the hotel's responsibility, but the noise made, during the night too, by the town's very large and boisterous seagull community, really means that rooms on the street side can't be called quiet. Since the secluded location of Fowey is one of its main appeals, this is rather a pity, especially if you are not a deep sleeper.

very comfortable. great views over river fowey

it would have been nice to have had blackout blinds behind the curtains - but neverthless it was wonderful to wake up to the sounds of the waves lapping against the quayside

It was amazing! Crisp and so tastefully decorated. Those extra touches of bathrobes, umbrella and rain coats were great. Breakfast was superb. All staff were very welcoming and went the extra mile. The chocolate 'to sweeten' the bill was a lovely touch.

The staff on first meeting are very friendly and helpful and this continued throughout the entire stay - at meal times and during the day. The venue is superb. Meals - delicious! Nothing too much trouble at all.
